Description
The WindPaddle sun shade front cleat kit gives your sun shade better attachment options rather than using the existing deck hardware available on your boat, best when you don’t have a handy or accessable place to tie off the front legs of the sun shade.
Each Sun Shade sold includes two of these mounting cleats which buckle into the leg-ends of your sun shade. It makes installing and un-installing easier and faster. Once the rear cleats are located and installed, these can be quickly screwed into the boat using the supplied fasteners. The One-Wrap Velcro holds and secures the legs of the Sun Shade down over the buckle for a nice and tidy mounting solution. If you don’t have any of these or want more, you can get them here.

Simply screw the #10 x ¾” stainless fastener (supplied) into your poly boat, or drill a pilot hole in your composite or thermal-form boat. Some installations might require a #10-32 screw with nut and backing washer (not supplied but available at most hardware or marine stores). If unsure, ask your kayak shop manager for the best mounting method.
